Real Madrid's winger Issues Regret to Real Madrid Supporters

The attacker has scored 5 finishes in ten Spanish league appearances so far this term.

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to supporters for his response when taken off in Sunday's heated Clasico clash win.

Vinicius was taken off in the 72nd minute and showed his disappointment by going straight to the dressing room.

He later returned to the bench and, following his side's 2-1 win, attempted to approach Barça's opposing player during contentious final whistle incidents.

"Today I want to express regret to all the supporters for my reaction when I was taken off in the derby," the player posted on X.

"In the same way as I have already done during the latest training, I would like to apologise again to my team-mates, the team, and the leadership.

"Sometimes emotion takes over me because I always want to succeed and support my club. My determined nature stems from the passion I have for this institution and all it represents."

Vinicius signed for Madrid from Flamengo in the year 2018 for millions and has notched triple figures in more than 300 games.

But his prospects in the Spanish capital is far from certain with speculation in lately indicating that Los Blancos would consider permitting the player move on if they got a suitable offer.

When the winger was replaced on that day, broadcast footage from broadcaster the service recorded him stating: "Again me! I'm exiting the club! It's better if I depart, I'm going."

In his latest post on X, he commented: "I promise to keep striving at all times for the benefit of Los Blancos, as I have acted since the very beginning."
