Tuchel States No Problem with Bellingham, Foden, or Jack Grealish

England's Head Coach Thomas Tuchel asserted that he has "no conflict" with Phil Foden following these players were omitted the England team for forthcoming fixtures against Latvia and Wales.

Bellingham did not earn a recall even after returning from a shoulder injury, while the Manchester City and Everton players are also absent although displaying improved form with their clubs.

The German manager mentioned that the 22-year-old wanted to be part of the selection, having spoken with him via telephone.

"He is a special player, and for special players there can always be special rules," Tuchel said regarding the Real Madrid star, who's only started once since coming back to full health.

"However we decided to maintain the simple choice of inviting the same group.

"Bellingham consistently merits to be here. There is also the situation that he has not quite regained his optimal form yet at Real Madrid - he has not finished a full game.

"He expressed a desire to be selected. We had a phone call."

The England boss was keen to highlight his positive relationship with the midfielder following he said sorry to him previously for describing his conduct during a match as "disgusting" in a televised interview.

Tuchel explained that he used the words "unintentionally" and would be more careful in future.

When asked if he had any issue with the player, Tuchel said: "None. There is no issue either with Foden or Grealish.

"Phil is back to influencing and deciding games for Manchester City. Jack is almost to returning to the top form of himself.

"There exists no personal issue."

Bukayo Saka taking the place of the hurt Noni Madueke is the only change to the previous squad, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Jarell Quansah retaining their places after being late additions last month due to fitness concerns.

England face Wales in a non-competitive match at Wembley Stadium on Thursday before a World Cup qualifier in the Latvian capital on October 14.

If the team win in Latvia, they will need a up to two more points from their final two matches - against Serbia and Albania in next month - to secure a place in next summer's tournament in North America.

Strong Performance By Tuchel

England produced their best display by some distance under the manager's guidance when they defeated the Serbian team 5-0 away in Belgrade in their previous match.

The coach says that showing made it an easy decision to keep largely the identical group, though "there exist no certainties" for every squad member regarding being picked.

"Our previous gathering was only a few weeks ago and the cohesion and spirit was at its peak. That is why we decided to invite the same group to this camp," he commented.

"Phil is in a excellent run of form. Adam Wharton deserves to be with us. Curtis Jones and Chalobah are getting minutes with their clubs.

"We have players who warrant to be here. Cole Palmer is injured and is a key talent. It will always be like this.

"Is our team a stronger side with Bellingham? Absolutely. But I told you before, what do we do if he is unavailable before the World Cup? Do we just cancel?"

The Manager's Press Conference Draws Attention

Thomas Tuchel again delivered a box office press briefing.

He, a expert of managing his interactions with the media, began with an initial remarks to explain his reasoning for his decisions.

Bellingham is ready to play and expressed interest to come to the squad, but the coach has said he preferred not to change the squad significantly after a statement 5-0 win over Serbia - where the manager noted team spirit was at an all-time high.

However with him not including Bellingham, and his repeated remarks about team spirit, it is hard not to link the aspects - even though Tuchel said multiple times how he is "exceptional" and that there is "no problem" between him and one of the national team's star players.

The England manager has consistently made it evident that he wanted to make the England squad feel like a club team and, by keeping the identical selection after a statement win, he has done that. But the inquiries will come again in the next camp if England perform strongly in these upcoming fixtures.
